Academy_Programm_Buklet_180x180_ru-10.pngNot without interest were found the rates of some CVD risk factors in the study. The results of the study demonstrated the average BMI of 29.7 which is markedly high compared to other Central Asia countries. In general the adiposis group included 45% responders. Moreover, at the high level of hypertension prevalence rates (70%) the control of the disease was at the relatively low level (24%), and hyperglycemia prevalence rate made 8.6%. Preliminary findings of this study show high rates of cardio-metabolic risk factors among rural population, so the problem has to be studied more deeply together with searching for the effective preventive and cure means.

Academy_Programm_Buklet_180x180_ru-13.png In 2015 the second phase of the research was conducted in West Kazakhstan, Semei city and nearby village Borodulikha that was aimed at further examination of regional characteristics of cardio-metabolic risk factors. In the course of the research the database on all the medical, social and molecular and biological determinants of health was set up. The results of SPN analysis have been also received. In the framework of the analysis made the high level of cardio-metabolic risk factors such as adiposis, hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes etc. was revealed. The overall prevalence of diabetes made 12.5%. The disease prevalence among city dwellers is almost twice higher in comparison with rural population (16.3% and 8.6% respectively). The diabetes prevalence was authentically associated with the age, male gender, hypertonia and adiposis. Among the people with diabetes 72.3% were aware of their state of health, 65.6% were treated and 27.7% demonstrated the glucose level within normal range. The awareness level, medical treatment and control of diabetes were significantly higher among city dwellers and women.
