Briefly about Santo
The Annual National Teleconference "New Industrialization of the Country: Leap of the Kazakhstani Leopard" took place with the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on December 6, during which the production of solid oral medications launched at the largest pharmaceutical plant of "Chimpharm" JSC. The launch of a new production capacity of 600 million tablets per year is another victorious stage of a large-scale investment program, systematically implemented by the investor - Polpharma Group, one of the largest European pharmaceutical manufacturers.
It is noteworthy that the opening of the new production takes place on the eve of the celebration of the 135th anniversary of the plant, symbolizing the new perspectives and horizons opening before the flagship of the pharmaceutical industry in Kazakhstan.
The President Nursultan Nazarbayev had a visit to the plant of "Chimpharm" JSC in the city of Shymkent on April 22. During the visit, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, opened new production lines of SANTO and got acquainted with the work of infusion lines in the department for the production of ampoules and infusions. The infusion lines that the Head of State has opened have no analogues both in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and throughout Central Asia.
The second National Congress of the leading doctors of Kazakhstan "SANTO Congress" Republican Congress of Leading Practitioners of Kazakhstan SANTO Congress and 1st Conference “Pharma Practicum 2015” devoted to applied pharmacy for pharmacists, managers and owners of pharmacies in Kazakhstan took place.
The Company is exporting its products to five countries, i.e. Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan and covers the demand of internal market.
The Company obtained the GMP certificate for the manufacturing site of infusion solutions.
At the end of 2015 according to IMS Health (the world's leading company in the field of information and technology services, measuring and improving the performance of companies in the medical industry) SANTO Company has become the leader of Kazakhstan pharmaceutical market in value terms with a market share of 4.27%.
Representative office has been opened in Kyrgyzstan.
1st Republican Congress of Leading Practitioners of Kazakhstan initiated by SANTO took place; Jerzy Starak, President of Supervisory Council became a member of International Investors Board operating at the Presidential office of the Republic of Kazakhstan and SANTO Company gained GMP certificate for production of solutions for injections in Injections and Infusions Department.
SANTO Company gained GMP certificate for existing Ampoules Department; launched education project SANTO Academic Programme; under the Forced Innovative-Industrial Development Programme new Parenteral Department of small and big volumes was commissioned in the plant, which has no analogues within the whole Eurasia region. Project investments comprised US$38mio. Capacities of the new complex enable to produce 300mln ampoules of injected preparations in glass ampoules annum, 2 mln packs of infusions in PE bags annum, 2 mln packs of infusions in PE vials annum.
